Xanthe Capalidi - the gay (well one of them)
Xanthe looked at the camp from the hill she sat atop off. Half Blood Hill was fairly big, and it does take a few minutes to climb, however Xanthe never gets tired of it. She never could. The view from the top was amazing. From the shininess of the Apollo cabin to the sounds of swords clashing. The smell of food drifting in every direction and the simple feeling of home. She finally felt at home. She never wanted to end up here, never knew she needed to be here. But it changed her and she believes it was for the better. She always thought Spain was her home, and then she thought the small apartment was her home. But until now, she never understood what the word truly meant. It meant acceptance, and what better place to be accepted than a place where there are people who are like you.
Well, for the most part.
She leaned back on her hands and let out a small, yet happy sigh. Xanthe breathed in the air that was becoming warmer as the days went on. It would soon be Spring, the season of life. Unlike Xanthe’s season, the season where everything is simply beginning to rest. However, that did not stop her from wearing her favourite flannel. Blue and tan and the sleeves were rolled up. The top two buttons undone and, in her opinion, she was looking hot as Hades.
The grass was growing greener, thanks to the Demeter and Persephone who were currently prepping for the upcoming season. She dug her fingers into the dirt and the green blades as she closed her eyes and smiled. Peace was the only way to describe the feeling she was currently in. It was wonderful. Relaxing on a hill, a gentle wind, it was simply awesome.
And Hera only knows why anytime a demigod is in peace that it’s immediately broken after their quick glimpse at it. A noise came from behind her and she quietly reached dragged her finger across her thermos and her sword was in her hand. She then pushed her sunglasses up so they now rested atop her head. She made sure to evaluate all of her moves. She quickly, and as gracefully as she could, got up onto her feet, still facing the camp and not the direction the noise came from. She didn’t want to attack, in case it’s a kid or something. However, she needed to be on her guard. So she decided to do what all of the dumb asses do in the horror movies.
“Hello? Quien esta ahi?” Xanthe called out. She heard more noise, so she turned around and clutched her bronze weapon in her hand. She took in the sight in front of her. She then rolled her eyes and smirked, it was simply another camper. Nothing to fear. “If I had my bow out, you’d of been dead. Y eso seria una decepcion total.”
She said with a small laugh.
Translation (i do not have an inverted ? or accents on my computer, so I couldn’t properly type my spanish. and I don’t trust google translate. I speak the damn language. anyway…)
--Quien esta ahi? - Who’s there?
--Y eso seria una decepcion total. - And that would be a total disappointment.
